Our products

Soft material compensators from WHF are made up of different layers. The composition of the layers and the respective materials used make it possible to adapt the compensators to a wide variety of requirements. Our expansion joints are suitable for gaseous media (eg fresh air, exhaust air, flue gas) with temperatures of up to 900 degrees C, for media containing solvents, acids or alkalis as well as for media with solids content.


High quality and customer satisfaction is very important to us.

The compensators are handcrafted by our trained and experienced team. Both the joints of the layers and the edges are carefully sewn. Sewing the edges instead of mere gluing ensures a longer service life and makes it possible to install and remove our compensators several times, eg as part of maintenance or repair work.

In the high temperature range, we use special threads to ensure the longest possible heat resistance of our products. EPDM sealing layers are vulcanised, sealing films are welded.

Our products and our entire production area are completely silicone-free

Already for several years we no longer process silicone-containing materials.
WHF compensators are available in any size, both in accordance with DIN and in accordance with third-party standards or according to your individual requirements.

  • EPDM (Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber) is a thermoplastic elastomer. The core consists of a mesh and is coated on both sides with EPDM. The material is highly resistant to acids, lyes, water vapor, animal and vegetable fats and fuel. It is UV, ozone, aging and weather resistant, antistatic and electrically conductive. It is very well suited for compensators that are to conform to the ATEX standard.
    EPDM can be used for media in the temperature range of - 40 ºC to 140 ºC and short term up to 150 ºC. It is suitable for pressures up to 50,000 Pascal.

  • Insulated compensators for the high temperature range
    Insulated compensators consist of a multi-layer outer construction with inner insulation 20, 50, 100 mm thick ceramic fiber. Depending on the application, a highly heat-resistant micro-stainless steel mesh or a silicon oxide fiber fabric is used for the innermost layer.
    The advantages of these compensators are high elasticity, no condensation, thermal and sound insulation. They are resistant to aging, electrically conductive and silicone-free. The max. Operating temperature is 750 ° C, briefly up to 800 ° C.

  • Fabric expansion
    For a wide range of applications and different requirements, our fabric compensators offer high flexibility, high tear resistance, high temperature resistance and a good price-performance ratio.

  • Atex Standard
    Compensators made of antistatic materials for applications in explosive atmospheres.
    Our products are approved for temperatures up to 250 ° C.

  • Compensators for the food industry
    With wetted layer of food-grade PTFE (light with FDA approval), by selecting the outer layers also antistatic possible.
